Tetris Burst (Sparcade)

 In addition to designing global features of Sparcade, I also designed two games within the app: Tetris Burst and Two Dots.

 We wanted to create a version of Tetris that kept the familiar, core gameplay, but with a fresh twist. I pitched the concept of adding a juicy "burst" theme, to give the game a bubbly new look and feel.

 The pieces are filled with juice that bursts out when lines are cleared from the board. The released juice gradually fills up the Juice Meter on the left, unlocking 3 new power-ups.

 Using the right power-up at the right time adds a new layer of strategy to the game. Players see how many points they can rack up before the 3-minute timer runs out.  Tetris Burst was one of the top performing games in Sparcade.
